Hannah Gellman is a fourth-year English and Creative Writing major from League City, Texas. She played the mellophone in the Hawkeye Marching Band for three years and has also played the French horn in the university Concert Band. She has had her poems published in the campus literary magazines Ink Lit Mag and earthwords: the undergraduate literary review, and is currently on the earthwords staff as a fiction editor. Hannah works as an ambassador for the University of Iowa English department and volunteers her time with community organizations such as the Johnson County Crisis Center, IC Compassion, and Iowa Justice for our Neighbors. She is also earning a minor in Arabic and spent her Spring 2018 semester studying abroad in Fes, Morocco. This is her third year on the University Lecture Committee.
