Alex Bare is a senior in international relations and Spanish with a minor in Arabic, originally from rural Walcott, Iowa. He has made the most of his time at Iowa by at some point or another being part of eight (or so) student organizations, and studying abroad twice in Bolivia, and Oman. He enjoys exploring cross-cultural topics and in particular equity, having been appointed to serve as Director of Justice and Equity in Student Government and Outreach Director of Spectrum UI, the oldest LGBTQ student org at a public university in the country. On warm Sunday afternoons, you can find him on his porch sipping guanábana juice and reading the news with his plants. Anything below 82°F is probably too cold for him.
