This is Sarah Hansen’s second year on the University Lecture Committee. Sarah is an Associate Vice President for Student Life. She recently led the University’s 5-year strategic planning process and serves on a number of University-wide committees. Her primary focus is on undergraduate student success, including providing opportunities for students to integrate their learning across contexts. Sarah is the creator of a nationally recognized student employment intervention, called Iowa GROW (Guided Reflection on Work) that helps campuses maximize the learning from campus employment. She has two kids, a husband of nearly 30 years, and 3 enormous dogs (St. Bernard, Mastiff, and Newfie mix).
