Alexander McLean is Founder and CEO of Justice Defenders – a global charity with 350 people working across four African countries. Justice Defenders has been covered by international media including CBS, BBC, and CNN. Supporters include The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Google.org, and Richard Branson. McLean has a passion for the law as it relates to the most marginalised, having trained as a barrister and magistrate. Alexander is a fellow with TED and Ashoka. He was named UK Young Philanthropist of the Year and on Time Magazine's list of 30 Under 30. And recently won the WISE Award and Grinnell Prize.
